Our dream to have a huge chandelier in the drawing room could not be realized because there was no provision for hanging the light. Though there were alternate means to get this accomplished, we didn’t want to venture into any of those. And that’s when we decided to get a nice floor lamp (fabric based) for ourselves. Yet again we chose to personalize the shade to our taste by making one ourselves. DIY Fabric floor lamps / lamp shades sure add a new dimension to the decor of the room.
The frame was made using wooden sticks bought from the local plywood store. The sticks were cut to the required sized and were nailed together using small headless nails. We covered the frame initially with a regular tracing sheet and then later used a cotton fabric to attain our expected result. And sure we were thrilled at the outcome.
Beautiful.I would like to know, if just made the frame , then what kind of base is used? How will the lamp hold the shade from slipping down.Would appreciate if you let me know.:)

ReplyDeleteI think this vintage light is great on the off chance that you like the antique look as opposed to an advanced vibe. This lamp is one of the least expensive vintage gem lamps at a markdown of $172. https://www.insignis.ro/corpuri-de-iluminat/
